10 months old!/11months old

Oh my goodness my baby is getting closer and closer to one! I don't feel like I am ready for him to be one yet and I feel that no matter what I'm always going to consider him my baby!

Since it is inevitable for him to get older I suppose I should share of our epic changes over the past two months. As always I will start with his eating. Jackson is pretty much eating all table food. He is defiantly a meatitatian. Out newest favorite meats are pheasant and deer. I guess you can take the boy out of South Dakota but you can't take the South Dakota out of the boy! He also loves mandarin oranges, pears, green beans, peas and corn! Jackson is a super fan of noodles but not spaghetti noodles they are way to frustrating to pick up.

We are officially mobile!! I've been waiting and waiting for him to start crawling on all fours and was getting super worried when some of his classmates had started doing it before him.  But now we are crawling all over the place which presents some new challenges. Jackson loves to find power cords and anything that belongs to Cooper. Cooper has done great with not getting mad and snippy at Jack but he does quickly take back possession of the things that are his. Jackson had also started pulling himself up on things so he can stand and use them to walk around and now he likes to walk around with Mommy or Daddy but only holding one hand because he's a big kid you know. (He gets a little frustrated when we try to offer too much help)

He is also very independent now and likes to take off his own socks (which he puts right into his mouth) and he really likes to try and put on his own shirt. One of his favorite morning activities is brushing his teeth. We have upgraded from the finger toothbrush to a infant toothbrush with a handle which he really likes! Speaking of teeth we have cut another tooth, so now there are three on the bottom and four on the top!

We also were able to celebrate our first Christmas together. We weren't able to go back home for the holidays because Jason had to work Christmas Eve and the day after, but our family was kind enough to come out through out the month of December to do a little celebrating with us. My parents were the first to come out and although we did do a big Christmas we did let Jackson open up one of his presents. Jackson did such a good job opening and he loved all the attention he was getting while he did it. Jason's parents were the next to come out and they came the weekend before Christmas and we got an extra special  surprise! Uncle Ryan and Carrissa came out and surprised us all (well except for Jason he knew)! I was so happy to have our family all together and we did the full blown Christmas together, including a little Christmas dinner.

I would love to say that New Years was just as eventful for our family, but who am I kidding. I haven't seen the ball actually drop in years and now that Jack is here I'm not sure I will see it for a few more. However, I did take the time to do a little reflecting on 2013 which was a huge year for our family.

2013 in review:
Lived in Ohio and worked 2 jobs
Found out I was pregnant
Grew a human
Found out Jason and I were going to have a son
Quit one of my jobs due to some pregnancy complications
Watched the 49ers go to the Super Bowl and lose!
It's ok on the last one though because I went into labor the next day
Had my son Jackson
Found out we were moving to Michigan
Found a house in Michigan
Moved to Michigan
Got a new job
Jason graduated from Medical School
Went back to South Dakota for Jackson's baptism
Went to Iowa for Katherine's wedding
Jackson started daycare
Finally started to live a "normal" life again

This is why I hope 2014 is a little calmer looking at that list makes me so tired!
