No Way....6 months old

I guess the calendar doesn't lie...my little stinker is 6 months old! This month has been kind of laid back for us, mainly we worked on getting into a routine. Well, as much of a routine as you can get in when you hubby has to do 24 hour call.

Jackson is doing fantastic! He is now sitting up on his own, however I still put the boppy around him because I fear that time that he gets distracted and whips his head around sending him plummeting to my wood floor. Never thought I would say it, but these are the moments I miss carpet. He is also working on rolling from front to back...it's driving me crazy that he hasn't done it yet! Back to front no problem, rolling back again we just cry for mama to help (secretly I think he knows how he just wants me to do it for him).
We still love our jumperoo!

We have also had two teeth on the bottom come through! They are sharp little buggers but they are his new pride and joy. He likes to suck in his mouth now and play around with them. It ends up making him have a soup puss face, but what can you do, they are new and interesting.

Jackson has also started eating two meals a day of baby food. We have made it through all the yellow/orange veggies and today we are going to start on our last fruit peaches! So far we really don't mind any of them but we really like bananas! I think his favorite part of eating so far is when he gets to play with his spoon at the end of the meal.
Still figuring it out

Daycare is going really well. I think towards the end of the weekend he really starts to miss his friends at school so he gets excited to go back. Last week they did their first art project, painted with sand. I couldn't believe it when I picked him up and they told me they had him painting...such brave teachers. At school he spends most of his day babbling with his friends (like his mama), they have also been working with him on sitting up and rolling per my request, and just recently he was up on all fours and rocking like he was going to take off crawling (so not ready for that!). Jackson also really really likes to stare at himself in the mirror, I think it's time for me to stop telling him how good looking he is before he becomes too vain!

Playing with our teeth during our stroller ride
Jackson also went to his first medical dinner this month. We met up with some of the doctors that Jason worked with last rotation and had a nice meal at Kona Grill (if you have one and haven't tried it..go it's amazing!) Jackson stole the show and all the attention from the ladies. I really think a few of them were going to steal him.

6 months old!

Upcoming events: Visits from Grandma Machell, Grandpa Ken and Grandma Kathy, we are going to try green veggies, our six month shots : (  our first time having a sitter (so excited)!
