Not for the faint of heart

Well, one week down and 6 years to go. Jason started his OB rotation last week on Tuesday and has been working his buns off ever since. Last week by Friday he had already put in 50 hours at the hospital (and it was only a 4 day week). Then he was on call over the weekend and last night. He gives a case presentation tomorrow so even though tonight he is going to be home for dinner he will be busy working on that in his office. I never understood why everyone always said prepare yourself for a lot of alone time. This journey that these students go through is definitely not for the faint of heart. As a spouse we are supposed to be strong and support them through this, but that is proving to be harder than I thought. Fortunately, Jason and I are looking into adopting a puppy. This will give me someone to come home to and take care of while my husband is at the hospital caring for other people. Gotta love it!
